Calendar event settings
When creating or editing a calendar event Scheduled event in WFM that is manually created on the schedule, can be a single instance or recurring event, and can have one or multiple attendees. Examples of calendar events are meetings or training sessions., you can view or update attributes that define the calendar event.

Activity |
Specifies the activity Core component of both schedules and time records in Workforce Management (WFM). When an employee performs any kind of work, activities specify the scheduled work and capture employee adherence to their schedule. with which the calendar event is associated. The activities displayed in this field are associated with the selected scheduling period only. If at least some of the attendees are poolers Term in WFM that defines employees who can be scheduled to work for their primary organization and also for multiple secondary organizations to support campaign pooling., the Activity list can look different for existing events. |
Start |
Defines the start date and time of the calendar event. |
End |
Defines the end date and time of the calendar event. When you update this field, the system updates the Duration field automatically. |
Duration |
Defines the length of the calendar event. When you update this field, the system updates the End field automatically. NOTE: The maximum duration of a single calendar event is 24 hours. |
Time zone |
Read-only field that displays the time zone of the campaign Collection of scheduling periods in WFM, which are defined time periods where specific employees target specific workloads. or organizations for which the calendar event was defined (according to left filter settings). |
Comment |
Provides a free text field to add notes about the calendar event. |
Recurring |
Determines whether the calendar event is a recurring event (occurs more than once). If this option is not selected, the calendar event is a single instance (occurs only once). When this parameter is selected, the Recurrence tab is displayed. |
Floating |
Determines whether the calendar event is a floating event, where you can specify the possible days and range of start times of the event. The scheduling engine finds the optimal day and start time within the selected time frame when service levels are impacted the least. When this parameter is selected, the Floating tab is displayed. When editing (not creating) a floating calendar event, the Locked option is displayed. This option allows you to prevent the scheduling engine from moving the event when you select to generate the schedule automatically. |
Overlap rule |
Defines whether the calendar event occurs during a shift Work period in WFM that has a definite length.:
