Change the SQL server name on server role Settings screens
Procedure 14 of 23 associated with Step 2 - Change the Computer Name, Domain, or Workgroup of an Individual Managed server.
In this procedure, you must change the SQL Server Host Address field for every server role Entity that contains a logical, predefined set of components (system software or certified third-party software) deployed in the Data Center and Site Zones that provide specific functionality for the system. that accesses the computer running SQL Server whose name has changed.
All of the following server roles contain the SQL Server Host Address field and access a computer running SQL Server.

Contact OTLP Database

Framework Reports

Interaction Reports

QM Database Server role in the Data Center used to store Quality Monitoring application data.

Speech Products Database Database in the Data Center that stores transcribed interactions.
You must locate and examine the settings of the active server roles in your enterprise that are of the types listed above. For each server role that accesses computer running SQL Server whose name you have changed, you must change the SQL Server Host Address field. In that field, you must replace the old name of the computer running SQL Server with the new computer name.
Use the following procedure to change the SQL Server Host Address field for the server roles:

Click System Management Module that allows performing suite-wide system management activities from a single, Web-based application, the Enterprise Manager. > Enterprise Management > Settings.

Locate the server roles in your enterprise that are of the types listed above.
For example, in the Installations tree (left pane), expand each Server node to view the server roles that are active on the each of the servers. Identify each server role that is of a type listed above.

In the left-hand pane, select one of the active server roles listed above to display the server role’s settings.

In the right-hand pane, in the SQL Server Host Address field, replace the old name of the computer running SQL Server with the new name of that computer.

Click Save.

Repeat these steps for every active server role listed above that exists in the enterprise and that specifies the old server name of the SQL server in the SQL Server Host Address field. All of these active server roles must specify the new computer name of the computer running SQL Server in the SQL Server Host Address field to connect to that SQL Server.
