Change the SQL Services account password

It is possible to change the password of the existing account used to run the SQL database engine and SQL agent services.

Procedure 

1. Change the account password in the domain.

2. Right-click My Computer and select Manage.

3. In the Computer Management console, expand Services and Applications > SQL Server Configuration Manager and select SQL Server services.

4. In the list of SQL Server services, right-click the SQL Server and SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER) services in turn, and select Properties.

5. In the Log On tab, type the new Password defined for the account in the domain.
