Data entry requirements
To be sure that the import function is successful, the data must be properly entered in the template.
The data must meet the following criteria:
-
The file must contain the correct field names.
-
All information must be entered in the appropriate format for each field.
-
All required fields must be included in the file.
Data entry guidelines
-
Add a header to show column names and make it easier to read the file.
-
Import supervisors before agents, according to the organization hierarchy.
-
Remove empty lines with white spaces.
If there are empty lines or white spaces, the import process looks for required employee information that it does not find.
-
Do not leave white spaces after user names.
The employee is imported, but is not given the user name in the file. The application does not support white spaces in user names.
-
The following characters are not allowed in the data file:
"[]<>."&!?,"; ( )
If any of these characters are present in the data file, the import fails.
The backslash (\) character is allowed in the data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs. name fields. In all other fields, however, it is not allowed.
-
Do not import users for which there is an existing user with the same data source user ID.
When this situation occurs, there is no warning message.
-
Validate your data before importing it with User Management Module that an administrator uses to create a profile for each employee in their organization.. Use the Excel spreadsheet tools.
