Organization alert rule screen reference
Use the settings on the Organization Alert Rules page to configure any type of organization alert rule.

Select the type of rule you want to create from the drop-down box. This setting is available only when creating a new rule. If you are editing an existing rule, this field is read-only. |
Rule-specific configuration |
If applicable, configure the rule-specific settings. The settings you must configure vary depending on the type of rule you have selected in the Rule setting. |
Action: Send Email |
Select this option to notify users by email when the alert rule is triggered. Also configure these fields related to the email:

Action: Send Desktop Messaging Application that allows sending pop-up messages to employees by selecting the recipients' name, login or role within the organization. Alert |
Select this option to notify users by means of a desktop message when the alert rule is triggered. Note: You must be licensed to use the Alert action. If you are not licensed for this feature, the Alert options are not displayed. Also configure these fields related to the desktop message:

Action: Send Mobile Alert |
Select this option to notify users by means of a mobile alert when the alert rule is triggered. Note: You must be licensed to use this alert action. This action to send a mobile alert is only available for specific rules. If you are not licensed for this feature, the Alert options are not displayed. Some rules are able to represent the data in a supported format on mobile applications, while others do not support this capability. Also, configure these fields.

Action: Send DPA Alert |
If you have a license for Desktop Process Analytics (DPA), select this option to notify users by means of a DPA alert when the alert rule is triggered. Note: You must be licensed to use the Send DPA Alert action. If you are not licensed for this feature, these alert options are not displayed. Also configure these fields:

Action: Send Work Assist Notifier Alert |
If you have Work Assist configured, select this option to notify users by means of a Work Assist alert when the alert rule is triggered. The user can see the message displayed in Work Assist client installed on the desktop or in the Work Assist web page. Also configure these fields: To whom to send the alert: Check the applicable check boxes (Employees, Direct Supervisors, Additional users by login names (semicolon separated), Additional users by role, Additional delivery targets (semicolon separated)). Type the additional user names, select the desired role, and add the additional user names of the additional delivery targets, as applicable. Title: Check the applicable check boxes (Text (user-provided text), Employee Names, Organization Names, Rule Name). Provide text for the Text field if applicable. Work Assist Delivery template: Select the Work Assist delivery template from the drop-down list. Message: Enter the message to be displayed. Feedback: Select the Enable Feedback option to enable the thumb up and thumb down icon on a notification. Thumb up displays the Positive Feedback List and the Thumb down displays the Negative Feedback List when the icon is clicked. If the list is left empty, only the icons are displayed with an open text box when clicked. Otherwise, the items included in the list are displayed as options with the text box for the agent. Example: If you include the items "Too frequent; Delayed; Not relevant;" (omitting the quotation marks) in the Negative Feedback List, these items are displayed with check boxes when the agent clicks the Thumb down icon. Items must be separated by a semi-colon (;). Within the Feedback text box, the maximum character count is 265, including the final semi-colon (;). Buttons (separated by semicolons)and Button links (separated by semicolons). Specify text and the associated links with a title and separate them with a semi-colon (;). If Button as Link is not selected, the text is displayed as a button label. If Button as Link is selected, the text is formatted as a link instead of a button. To have a button displayed just as a label and not as a link, type "blank;" in the Button links. Example: To have the button ‘Name’ displayed only as a label and not as a link like the other buttons, you would enter the following as buttons: "Info; Support; Name;" and the following as links: "https://www.company.com; https://www.company.com/support; blank;" (omitting the quotation marks). |
