Due to a shift swap with another employee, John has partial shift swap hours from 4:00 - 6:00 AM. His regular shift starts at 9:00 AM. Therefore, the non-OT extension gap is from 6:00 - 9:00 AM.
John submits a request to add another paid work hour to his partial shift swap hours, which is approved by his manager. This update extends his morning shift hours until 7:00 AM. As a result, the gap before his regular shift is shortened by 1 hour, which is now from 7:00 - 9:00 AM.
From the Calendar, the scheduler can update the start time of this shift gap from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM. This update also lengthens the partial shift swap hours by one hour.
