Before you use the Genesys - STCI for Cloud adapter

You must have a Genesys Cloud environment configured with the following characteristics before you use the Genesys - STCI for Cloud adapter.

Before you begin 

  • Ensure you have a working Genesys cloud instance with Users and Presence statuses configured.

Procedure 

  1. Configure and set up the OAuth client credentials on Genesys Cloud by doing the following:

    1. Log on to Genesys Cloud.

    2. Go to Admin, select Integrations then select OAuth.

    3. Select Add Client.

    4. Complete the following details of the new client:

      • App Name

      • Description

      • Token Duration (seconds)

      • Grant types

    5. Once you have created a client, you can see and use the Client ID, and Client Secret that you need for configuring the adapter.

  2. If you are using the USE_SECONDARY_STATUSES configuration do the following:

    1.    Create a new role with the following permissions:

      • presence:presenceDefinition:view

    2. From the roles tab, select the role that you have created. When you have created a client, you can then see and use the Client ID and Client Secret that you need to configure the adapter.

The Oauth client scope must be provided to all divisions containing presence definitions that the adapter receives.
