Workflow: Delete work rules

If you no longer require a work rule, you can delete it from the system. There is a specific workflow for deleting any relevant work rule.

Before you begin 

  • Verify that the work rule you want to delete is not linked to any active employees, schedules, or scheduling periods.

  • If WFM Ad Hoc Reports are available, you can create reports for employee work patterns and shifts.

If you delete a campaign Collection of scheduling periods in WFM, which are defined time periods where specific employees target specific workloads. and its scheduling periods, the deletion is permanent. No warnings are provided when you delete these entities. The deletion impacts Queue Analytics Feature in Workforce Management that tracks Queue data. Queue Analytics can show the Actual vs. Forecasted metrics. statistics, other data elements, and reporting. If historical data is a requirement, actual data is stored in a central repository outside the Verint solution.

When deleting work rules Rules in WFM that determine how employees are scheduled, and reflect both the needs of the organization and the individual employees., start with the smallest organization to understand the overall impact before proceeding with the deletion. Only consider deletion if you are sure that you no longer require the work rule.

Workflow 

  1. Export work patterns

    Before deleting work patterns, export them from the appropriate root or leaf organizations to identify the work pattern Set of shifts in WFM (usually a weekly set of shifts) that are assigned to employees. A work pattern typically includes one or more shifts and possible days off for one week. planned for deletion.

  2. Delete work patterns

    After exporting the relevant work pattern, you can delete it.

  3. Delete shifts

    If specific shifts are no longer required, you can delete them.

  4. Delete shift events

    If specific shift events are no longer required, you can delete them.
