Approve a request
You can approve a pending, non-expired request that has been submitted by an employee.
Approving requests
Be aware of the following when approving requests:

Expired requests cannot be approved.

If the employee submits a request to add or move a shift event Time period in WFM when employees are scheduled for specific activities, other than the main shift activity. Shift events can either be productive or unproductive, and can be associated with activities such as Phone, Email, Break and Lunch. before or after a shift Work period in WFM that has a definite length. (and not during the shift), and you approve the request, the system creates an overtime extension for the employee's schedule.

You cannot approve a request to add or move a non-working shift event on top of a working shift event (or the other way around: a working shift event on top of a non-working shift event). The system invalidates this request.

You can only approve an employee request to edit a calendar event Scheduled event in WFM that is manually created on the schedule, can be a single instance or recurring event, and can have one or multiple attendees. Examples of calendar events are meetings or training sessions. (either move or delete) when the employee is the single attendee of the event. If the event has multiple attendees, the system invalidates the request.
Procedure

Go to Request Management. From Request Anything, select Event Requests.
The system displays all existing employee requests, and information about each request.

Point to the request that you want to approve, and select the Approve request icon.

At the system prompt, enter any comments about approving the request, and select Approve.
The system displays a success message, and changes the status of the request to Approved.
