Create a Performance Plan

Managers use the Manage Performance Plans page under Performance Management to create performance plans for employees.

Before you begin 

You must have the Configure Performance Plan privilege Permissions associated with each role that define the features of the application a user is able to view and the functionality in the application the user can access. to create and view Performance Plan components. With the View Performance Plan privilege, you can see the Performance Plan and its components in a read-only view.

Procedure 

  1. Go to Performance Management. Under Performance Plans, select Manage Performance Plans.

  2. In the left pane, select the organization from the list. Use the search field to search for an organization in the list.

  3. Click Create.

  4. Name the plan and add any comments. You can enter a maximum of 1024 characters in the comment field.

  5. Select the Employee Name.

    The list of employees includes only employees from the selected organization, which is displayed, but cannot be edited.

  6. Select a periodicity for the plan.

    After the first KPI is added, this field is no longer editable.

  7. Add one or more KPIs. Click Add next to KPIs, choose them on the KPI selector pop-up and click Add.

  8. KPIs are filtered according to the periodicity you selected. You can add up to 10 KPIs to a Performance Plan.

  9. To add milestone dates, click Add and select the date. You can add up to 10 milestones.

    Milestone dates are auto adjusted if they do not match the periodicity of the Performance Plan.

  10. KPIs are active by default. If you uncheck the Active box, the table values cannot be edited.

  11. Delete a KPI from the Performance Plan if necessary by clicking the trashcan.

  12. The KPI Goal holds the current value and may change over the course of the plan. The Actual Value displays the most recent data. For example, it shows data from yesterday for a daily periodicity KPI and data from the end of the previous week for a weekly periodicity KPI.

  13. To delete a milestone, click the trashcan icon next to the date.

  14. When you have finished, click Save.

    You can click Cancel to remove the changes and return to the list page. To return to the page to its state when first opened, click Revert.

    A Performance Plan must have at least one active KPI, one milestone, and one target to be saved.
