Create a shift event
Create a working or non-working shift event Time period in WFM when employees are scheduled for specific activities, other than the main shift activity. Shift events can either be productive or unproductive, and can be associated with activities such as Phone, Email, Break and Lunch. during a defined shift Work period in WFM that has a definite length. on the calendar. For example, you can add a lunch, break, or research project for a defined shift.
Before you begin
Procedure

From the calendar, select the shift assignment for which you want to create a shift event.

From the details pane, select Add, and then select Shift event.

From the Shift event field, select the defined work rule for the shift event.
When you select the work rule, the remaining fields are automatically populated with the values defined for the work rule (in the Work Administration module).
To adhere to the work rule definition, do not edit these fields. (The only exception is the Locked field, which you can select and unselect, as needed.)
If you do edit these fields, the system saves the shift event but it is locked and cannot be unlocked. (The Locked option is selected and unavailable.) The only way to unlock the shift event is to change back the attributes to adhere to the work rule again.

To save your settings for the shift event, select Save.
